Returns & Refunds
LEGAL_* settings in wrangler.toml.This policy explains your rights to return goods and get a repair, replacement or refund. It reflects your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA).
1. Changed your mind (seven-day cooling-off)
1.1. If you are a natural person and your purchase was concluded electronically, you may cancel for any reason within seven days after you receive the goods (section 44 of ECTA).
1.2. Notify us at hello@veratec.co.za within the seven days and return the goods. You bear the direct cost of returning them, and we refund the price you paid within 30 days.
1.3. Returned goods should be complete and in a condition that allows resale. We may reduce or decline a refund only as far as the law allows, where goods have been used or damaged beyond what is needed to inspect them.
1.4. Where you inspected and collected an item in person, you examined it before paying; the cooling-off right applies to electronic transactions and we honour it wherever it applies.
2. Something is wrong with the goods (your six-month right)
2.1. If goods are not of good quality, not in good working order, defective, not reasonably suitable for their intended purpose, or not as described, you may return them within six months of delivery (sections 55 and 56 of the CPA).
2.2. You may choose to have them repaired or replaced, or to receive a full refund of the price paid. The choice is yours.
2.3. Returning defective goods is at our risk and expense: you are not charged for the return, and we cover the cost of collection or return postage.
2.4. This does not cover a defect or condition that was specifically described to you before you bought and that you accepted, or a fault caused by your own misuse, or ordinary wear and tear given the nature and price of the goods.
3. Which one applies
3.1. If you simply changed your mind, clause 1 applies and you bear the return cost.
3.2. If the goods are defective or not as described, clause 2 applies and we bear the return cost. Your six-month right is not limited to the seven-day window.
4. Pre-owned, ex-display and open-box goods
Where an item is sold as pre-owned, ex-display or open-box, its condition is described on its product page. By buying it, you accept it in that described condition. Your rights in clauses 1 and 2 still apply, measured against the described condition, description and price.
5. How to return something
5.1. Contact us at hello@veratec.co.za with your invoice number and the reason for the return.
5.2. We confirm the return method and, for defective goods, arrange collection or reimburse return postage.
5.3. Refunds are made to your original payment method within the times set out above.
6. Manufacturer's warranty
For a fault that arises after your six-month CPA right, or that is otherwise covered by a manufacturer's warranty, the manufacturer's warranty terms apply, and we give you what you need to claim under it. This does not affect your CPA rights while they apply.
